Heritage Golden Autumn

Autumn is incredibly smart and sensitive to human feelings and actions, if we are involved in some activity, she is there trying to figure out what we are doing and to help if she can, if someone is feeling blue, Autumn will be there trying to comfort. She has what the Old-Time Scotch Collie breed standard calls “reciprocity”, she tries hard to understand what we need and then returns the love and attention we have given her. Autumn is very standoffish with strangers but loving to her family and will quickly accept new people if we tell her that they are friends. She has never been around livestock but we hope to get some poultry soon. She is a beautiful shaded sable and white coloring with a long but not overly full coat, so we don’t have top spend endless hours brushing her hair out.

Autumn’s mother was one of the last registered Old-Time Farm Shepherds, the breed Richard McDuffie started to save these old time collies. Her mother was out of Heritage Shasta and Dunrovin’s Rover II. Autumn’s father is Heritage Rainier, a dog well known among lovers of Old Time Scotch Collies, he is also unique breeding, his father Gracehaven’s Angus, came from remote areas of British Columbia and his mother came from Peru, all great intelligent dogs.
